Curating Cold: Stuff So Frozen It's Cool

Come into the cold

From beers to blood, freezers and refrigeration preserve so many of the things that our society holds dear. Not only do these technologies make a range of resources available to us, ideas about cold suffuse art, science, literature and commerce.

This blog is an experiment in curation. I want to bring together ideas about and practices involving cold in contemporary culture to see what I can it learn about what it means to be warm-blooded today.

So, I’ll be promiscuous in my postings – trying to push at the limits of what can be contained within a virtual exhibition of cold. Each post can be considered a “freeze frame” – a snapshot of a particular expression of coldness at this moment in time.

I hope you’ll be drawn into a world that’s so frozen its cool.
